The project consists of defining and implementing an integrated natural risk management approach in the Buech watershed (63 municipalities spread over 3 departments in the 2 regions: Aura and South) by co-construction of action plans with local actors (elected and professionals from different bodies) and based on a shared diagnosis at the territorial level of both the hazards and the related issues. This approach aims to cover all forecasting times based on data collected and continuously updated, broad or targeted prevention, and both alert and crisis management, involving actors and populations. The establishment of this GIRN will thus help to identify and use appropriate levers to reduce vulnerabilities, build capacity and increase the resilience of these territories to natural hazards, in particular landslides, block falls, ravine and forest fires (risk of fires related to prefectures), as well as floods and torrential floods in coherence and coordination with the Flood Prevention Action Programme.
