Disaster risk and strategy of the territories at risk in the face of the flooding, translation into economic and environmental issues

The aim of the operation carried out by the BURGEAP group is the development of a mapping tool for decision-making aid for the flooding areas of the Loire basin and in particular the territories at significant flood risk (TRI) where the highest stakes are concentrated. The software will be developed in the Val d’Orléans territory; classified as TRI. This software, which can be used via the Internet, will enable structures carrying local flood risk management strategies (SLGRI) to generate a synthesis of the main vulnerabilities in their territory to identify priority actions to be taken in the area of spatial planning and urbanisation, and to characterise the responses adopted to reduce vulnerability to the most vulnerable issues in the territory. This operation is submitted under Action 3 of the ERDF Loire Basin POI as part of the call for projects strengthening knowledge on flood risk management. This operation contributes to reducing the vulnerability of populations and activities of territories particularly exposed to flood risk.
