The Departmental Council of Ariège presents the project for the development of the Palace of Governors and the Château de Foix to create a cultural visit site for tourism purposes. The main achievements of the project will be three-pronged improvements: — the heritage mediation component, on a space of more than 1 200 m², provides for the development of digital uses and applications for Smartphone, genealogy and interactive maps, augmented models, a hologram of the Castle at different times, reconstituted rooms, the book of hunting in an immersive room, an interactive agora... but also outdoor spaces offering immersive experiences to visitors. — the interior fittings linked to the scenography allowing a significant increase in visiting comfort and good flow management — the accessibility component, with the accessibility of the site for persons with disabilities and in particular for persons with reduced mobility. The project presented in the framework of the ERDF Interregional Operational Programme concerns all the scenography as well as the work on the fitting-out and accessibility of the Château de Foix and the Palais des Gouverneurs.
