The ViaRhôna crosses the territory of the community of municipalities Bugey Sud for more than 50 km, in Ain, Savoie, Isère and Haute-Savoie, mostly on a green path to walk, by rollers or by bike, to discover the landscapes along the Rhône. The community of municipalities BUGEY SUD is the contracting authority for the realisation of this route and wishes to continue the development of the site by offering new services for the cycling clientele by setting up a real main stop area on the site of the port of Virignin so that it becomes a pole structuring on the Haut-Rhône around the cycle route ViaRhôna (Geneva-Lyon stage) and a sports and leisure offer around the Rhône (rowing base, river navigation...) with an important level of equipment.
