AGRICULTURAL WORKERs’ INTEGRATION SITE

The project consists of developing an ECOLE FERME for demonstration, dissemination and extension of agricultural knowledge. The aim is to create and sustain an ACI by transforming it into EI with a minimum of 16 jobs. This project takes place in a difficult economic, environmental and social environment, which requires solutions incorporating all these factors. It creates jobs for people in difficulty. This tool is created to motivate them and train them to respect the natural environment, to optimise resources, and to be part of a process of installation in the West which brings together 80 % of French Guiana farmers and to enable the maintenance of a historical economic and local food and rural fabric. La Maison Familiale et Rurale du Littoral Ouest “Luc GEORGES” (MFRLO) is a training centre under associative status Law 1901 and under contract with the State and the CTG. Its objectives are the training and education of young people and adults, as well as their social and professional integration. The establishment was established in 2000. It was in 2002 that the latter, which was positioned in the town of Mana, opened its doors to trainees. Since 2013, the MFR has been located on the CD8 opposite the Guyana West Food Centre (PAOG). The MFR has 13 hectares of land to carry out an experimental project of FERME ECOLE.These integration activities will take place mainly on this plot of land which it owns but also on premises belonging to its partners, in particular the Regional National Park of Guyana (PNRG) for specific plants. The Rural Family House of the West Coast “Luc GEORGES” is 17 years of existence in initial and continuing education. Our teaching is built on a clear project, based on a twofold objective: · **a school and social promotion objective:** agricultural education must contribute to the training effort for young people from agricultural or rural areas,· **A “technical” objective** to support the development of agricultural activity and developments in Guyana’s agriculture, in particular through our FERME ECOLE project in terms of demonstration, dissemination and extension of knowledge. The development of this project consists, in the field and under greenhouses, of implementing crops that serve as places of experimentation for our audiences. A complete diversity of crops is planned to respond to training and/or production. To introduce employees into agriculture and agriculture, several topics will be addressed with a view to professionalisation and continuation of activity (at the end of installation) at the end of their CDDI contract. Their professionalisation will be made taking into account their concerns and the projects on which they would like to learn, in particular:
