The PRACORMAt project (Development of Reactive Material Activation and Switching Processes) is a collaborative resourcing project focused on the problems of surface functionalisation, by removing or adding material. It brings together 6 CRTs/CTI flagships of the Industrial R&I of the Grand East: Cerfav, CIRTES, CM2T, INSTITUT DE SOUDURE and IREPA LASER will work on this project coordinated by CRITT TJFU. The aim of the project will be to study and develop innovative surface functionalisation techniques for a wider scope of industrial applications: from reducing friction to improving energy efficiency to reducing drag to improve aerodynamic performance, from electromagnetic shielding to anti-corrosion protection of surfaces. The application field is large and the demonstrators proposed by the project will try to show the extent of the possibilities offered by these innovative technologies.
