The aim of the project is to find out under what conditions medium-sized enterprises from Central Ostrobothnia could enter the Chinese market. The aim is to identify, in particular, the food sector, the wood sector and cleantech, and possibly also the export opportunities of Central Ostrobothnia’s educational expertise. Internationalisation from Central Ostrobothnia to China has still been limited (2 companies). However, the aim of the study is to highlight the opportunities and conditions of the Chinese market. Central Ostrobothnia has good food industry, wood and cleantech companies, whose products are in demand on the Chinese market. However, companies need to know background information about China and its markets, such as culture, legislation, the impact of relationships and the activities of local organisations.
