Our goal is to build a world-class active entrepreneurial environment in the Helsinki metropolitan area, which actively creates new growth business ideas and attracts entrepreneurs to enter the SME area! The work of the ecosystem network in the Uusimaa region started in 2013 has highlighted the need for a common and simple service model in the area. Traditional incubator operations have ended and new ways of increasing the number and quality of potential growth companies have been found. This model is now being implemented by Helsinki, Espoo and Vantaa as a joint service for the whole Uusimaa region. The common service model for the pre-startup phases creates an interesting, clearly productised and communicateable efficient path for target groups from an idea to a startup, and more effectively supports new growth entrepreneurs and creates more high-quality growth companies. In addition, the shared service model brings together the militarised teams into a pool of talents, where expertise is utilised across municipal boundaries to achieve synergy benefits by combining marketing, customer selection, and the development of tools and other digital content. Services are interlinked with other ecosystem services, spreading to other actors the working culture and openness of joint work. In the ERDF framework, the parties develop, pilot and produce jointly agreed pre-startup services for growth company candidates, which are in line with the lean methodology of the project 1.Business Ideal Development Workshops 2.The development of the business concept In addition, the parties develop and produce joint information, impact measurement, and use common information systems, which serve in particular the objectives of this project, but also support start-up activities outside the project if necessary. In addition, the parties, together with local business services, undertake joint coaching, networking events and use a common network of service providers, as well as seeking the best customer tools for companies. In the pre-startup phase, the services are strongly linked to the own entrepreneurial activities carried out by anchor companies, SMEs‘key industries, universities, universities, students’ entrepreneurship organisations, providing a clear path to continue from them to the start of business. With more efficient use of resuss and new methods, the aim of the project is to provide better services and more effectiveness than previous services. The goal is to activate at least 1000 experts each year who do not have their own idea and the owner of the idea who does not have a team. An average of 100 teams per year are expected to participate in the development phase of the business concept.
