The objective of the Windtek project is to develop solutions for the operation and maintenance of on-shore wind farms under construction in cooperation with industry companies and educational institutions. Identify companies suitable for the construction of power plants and develop groups of companies to meet the needs of turbine manufacturers. Development of logistics solutions for wind power construction in cooperation with companies and the University of Applied Sciences. The development of the M20 region in cooperation with various actors better responds to future onshore wind energy challenges. The long-term goal is to promote the increased use of renewable energy and the use of low-carbon technologies. The project focuses on two sub-components identifying the service needs during the construction of wind power plants and developing groups of companies, as well as the development of operating and maintenance business. In the beginning, the potential companies involved in the construction of logistics will be identified. The logistics solution model will be built on the basis of the logistics report. SME Group service packages will be developed with turbine manufacturers. In addition to companies, the extensive cooperation network also includes educational institutions such as SAMK and Winnova. As a result of the project, Satakunta will create an erection cluster of ground-fired power plants, in which the M20 area will also play a key role in the operation and maintenance cluster. The M20 area refers to the three business areas in Meri-Por, which are divided into Mäntyluoto, Tahkoluoto and Peittoo. Thanks to cooperation between institutions, education and training activities in this field will develop. In the longer term, the use of renewable energy will increase and the project will support the goals of a low-carbon society.
