Optimising digitalisation in Kainuu — Wellbeing and Health (DIHYTE) project promotes social, health and wellbeing services in Kainuu and their development as well as the adoption of new operating methods. The aim of the activities is to develop digital well-being and health services in cooperation between Kainuu Social and Health Care Association (Kainuun Sote), Kainuun Etu Oy, local educational institutions, private care service companies and ICT companies in order to achieve more cost-effective and innovative and complex social and health services in Kainuu. The main objective of the project is to promote and develop digital services and content in social, health and wellbeing services (private/public). The project will also promote the application and adoption of new practices, which will achieve productivity and efficiency gains and increase the visibility and accessibility of operators and new services. The project’s main optimisation targets for social, health and wellbeing services are divided into three different optimisation packages:1. Virtual services- Promoting the production of services and content in a virtual manner. They may refer to services provided to different target groups e.g. public services (KELA) or general services, e.g. public services provided by a third party, or virtual remote services within social and care services (e.g. counselling, monitoring, activation, reminder and various other support services).2. Self-measurement- The self-measurement promotes and develops self-care, self-care services and solutions (e.g. promoting the knowledge and use of electronic health audits of citizens, self-measurement equipment, and creating conditions for the wider use of digital health accounts in the public and private sectors).3. Intelligent environment- The development of an intelligent environment includes, for example, the in-depth use of existing software, the development of the care data chain in relation to existing environments (cost savings), the development of utility games, the further development of existing service portals and innovation, as well as the use of sensor technology and robotics. Explore the potential use of health data masses (BigData) and the opportunities offered by 3D technology for local care providers in the region. As a result, new digital social, health and well-being service models, operating processes, solutions and ecosystems (cooperation between several different actors) will be created in the Kainuu region (possibly for wider use). New digital solutions and practices promote health and well-being, for example in social care and services related to the elderly, and strengthen and support the self-help of Kainuu’s well-being and health (self-care) through digital solutions, as well as promoting the sharing of health information. The project will generate demand for the know-how, products and services of the business network and operators in the implementation process, thus increasing the region’s new business, turnover and the prosperity of the regional economy.
