VirtualÁilegas Equipment Acquisitions

The project is a parallel project of the VirtualÁilegas project, the main objective of which is to create the conditions for the development of language, crafts and cultural entrepreneurship in Utsjoki by improving the equipment base. The aim of the action is entrepreneurship education and its target groups are young entrepreneurs and those considering entrepreneurship, language professionals or those intending to become a language professional, those engaged in business activities in the crafts and culture sectors and those engaged in or intending to do business in the field of gaming and programming. They will be offered joint workshops on the themes of industry and entrepreneurship. Industry-specific expertise is shared with the municipality’s own activities, cooperation between the University of Lapland and the Sámi Education Centre, structural fund projects, peer development of entrepreneurs and those intending to become entrepreneurs, as well as the development organisations involved in the cooperation. As a result of the project, Utsjoki has an operating environment that develops entrepreneurship-related skills, in which special consideration is given to the activation of hobby activities as a business activity. 20 participants have participated in the project workshops.
