Development of the business environment of Kalajoki Marina

The aim of the project is to improve the traffic conditions in the Kalajoki Marina planning area, to eliminate bottlenecks and to promote the accessibility of SMEs already operating and located in the area. The indirect objective of the project is to strengthen the development of the Marina area, which is strategically important for the Kalajoki Hiekkasärki tourist centre, and at the practical level to enable the operating conditions of the companies located there, to promote business investments in the region and to improve the accessibility of the companies and to enable the diversification of tourism services in the areas of Kalajoki Marina Business Park Dyynikylä and Hotel Village. The final plan for the Marina area, owned by the City of Kalajoki, entered into force on 31 January 2017 and enables the measures set out in the project plan, such as the construction of Keskuskarintie, Tiitaival, Swing and Dyynikylä schematic streets to improve the accessibility of SMEs in the Marina region, and the construction of light-duty roads connected to the above-mentioned streets, as well as the construction of asphalt, lighting and run-off solutions for central Karintie, Tiitaival, Swing and Dunikylä streets and the safety of users.
