The objective of the SiltaEAKR separate application is to exploit the potential of positive growth in south-western Finland in accordance with the Bridge Agreement. Robocoast R&D Center — Robotics Living Lab for Companies-T&K platform construction has been included in the bridge agreement. The goal is that in 2020, Satakunta will have a global research centre of excellence in automation, robotics and artificial intelligence: Robocoast R&D Center, which international companies want to take advantage of, where companies can pilot, prototype and test new robotics business openings and ways to operate more efficiently and with higher quality. In order to achieve this goal, product development teams of international experts should be set up, existing laboratories should be strengthened and their joint use promoted. The Robocoast R&D Center must be an international T&K platform focused on robotics and artificial intelligence, which Eu’s Digital Innovation Hubit (DIH) and China’s National Development Programme Made in China 2025 (MIC2025) can and want to take advantage of. In addition to this, the international branding and proclamation of Robocoast R&D Center is needed. As different forms of open innovation are strengthened, the sharing of research infrastructures and the need for joint use will increase. Finland and Satakunta have a wide range of high-quality know-how and different types of platforms, both in higher education and in companies, which can form larger, internationally more competitive platforms that attract international investment in the region.Prizztech Oy coordinates the Robocoast business cluster, which is a nationally and internationally significant hub of robotics and artificial intelligence companies. A key part of Robocoast’s activities is cooperation with the Satakunta University of Applied Sciences Robotics Academy and the SAMK Automation Research Group. In addition, Robocoast cooperates closely with the Pori unit of the University of Technology of Tampere, especially in relation to the operating environment of ROS robots and data analytics. Since October 2017, Robocoast has been a member of the EU Digital Innovation Hub. In addition, Prizztech Oy and the City of Ulvila have an existing agreement on development cooperation with Ningbo, the pilot city of Made in China 2025, which has enabled the Robocoast cluster to be selected as a strategic partner for Ningbon MIC2025 development cooperation. Co-operation with Ningbo will be implemented in an agreed USF operating environment, in which only Prizztech Oy and NBCCD AG will have the opportunity to negotiate and launch MIC2025 projects and other thematic measures with the pilot city Ningbo in Finland and so far throughout Europe. Prizztech Oy and Robocoast also play an important and central role in the implementation of the Satakunta Federation and CAST (China Academy of Safety Science) cooperation. Robocoast R&D Center — Robotics Living Lab for Companies:1) Co-ordination of the Robocoast R&D Center and its development activities (Prizztech, SAMK and TTY)2) Preparation and launch of international R & D and modernisation projects (robotics, automation, IoT and artificial intelligence)3) for industry operating in Satakunta, preparation and launch of service and public sector modernisation projects4) Launching and implementing the robotics, IoT and AI Living Lab in the industry and SOTE sector5) The promotion of international development cooperation under the Made In China 2025 programme and the DIH network and the preparation and launch of new openings6) Supporting and promoting the establishment of international companies and R & D teams in Satakunta by Robocoast R& in the framework of other activities of D Center.Robocoast R&D Center — Robotics Living Lab for Companies project ends in 2020 in Satakunta has an international unit of excellence in automation, robotics and artificial intelligence: Robocoast R&D Center T&K platform, which is used by international companies and is located close to several international R & D units. Robocoast R&D Center is particularly interesting for global companies, especially as it enables European companies to participate in Chinese modernisation projects. For Chinese companies, Robocoast R&D Center is a gateway to the European market and a channel to acquire excellence in robotics and artificial intelligence from both Finland and Europe.
