The objectives of the PDB are 1. the development of education and RDI export skills, 2. the development and implementation of a new kind of regional business cooperation network, 3. Development of export cooperation between education, research and development organisations in the South Savo region. The long-term goal is to achieve a larger business in education and RDI exports. The project will create permanent operating models that will enable the development and internationalisation of paid training and RDI service sales after the project. In the field of education and RDI, new types of virtual environments/products are being prepared, independent of time and place, enabling research and education to be combined.The project is closely following the Education Finland education export programme and seeks to be aware of the progress of the establishment plans of a training export company based on OPH guidelines.The project can be described in the seuraavasti:Tavoite 1. To improve the ability of professionals to operate internationally and to develop products suitable for export, training and RDI products and service packages Target 3. Identify and bring together export companies operating in the South Savo region, which can benefit from partnership with education and RDI organisations in their export promotion efforts, and to create and develop new types of RDI products and services for international exports and to test in practice models of RDI export cooperation in the South Savo region.Objective 5. The project also aims to create, develop, test and pilot Savonlinna’s educational export business model and business cooperation network based on tourism and education infrastructure. The product will be developed and tested during the project in different parts of Etelä-Savo together with project actors and the business cooperation network — a research study related to the internationalisation of companies and operators will be produced9. Support the development of vitality, production and product development of high-quality development environments as well as high-quality international RDI-benchmarking and joint international survey, as well as support for a balanced economy 10. As a result of the project management, coordination and communication, a database of experts and products suitable for international training and RDI development has been created in accordance with the areas of substance. As a result of development coaching, the capacity of their own partners and their partners to operate internationally has improved, thus creating a better opportunity for the organisation to grow its export business. New digital, virtual or video products have been developed taking into account the needs of the target country and digital environments and distribution channels. Products will be sold to international partners in the future. At least preliminary cooperation agreements were concluded with export companies, a network of companies has been created. A well-functioning business cooperation network for educational exports and tourism promotion has been developed. This network has been piloted during the project and will be utilised as far as possible in the whole of South Savo. A digital description of the Business Collaborative Network has been made and it opens the context of the operations as a whole, presents the actors and the content offered. The project has supported the development of South Savo’s vitality and internationalisation, producing high-quality digital and virtual learning and RDI solutions for education and RDI exports.
