The impact of the coronavirus is severely hitting the economy and micro, small and medium-sized enterprises in particular are facing major difficulties. The aim of the project is to strengthen the ability of chemical micro and small and medium-sized enterprises to cope with the change in the operating environment caused by the COVID-19 pandemic and its impact on the company’s business. The project’s measures aim to strengthen the capacity of companies to develop their operations and cope with the crisis. The project also aims to map e-solutions that serve the development of companies and to strengthen companies’ digital capabilities. The concrete measures of the project can be divided into two OCTs responding to acute distress and minimising the adverse effects of the COVID-19 crisis, the so-called “first and crisis” assistance Stakeholder and public authorities cooperation to promote digitality2. As a result of the project, Kemin Digipolis Oy will be able to direct its development activities to the new business segment with a fast schedule: micro-enterprises and sole-entrepreneurs, and thus through their own activities, in cooperation with businesses, stakeholders and public authorities, to minimise the adverse effects of the COVID-19 crisis on businesses’ business and on the regional economy as a whole. In addition, as a result of the project, Digipolis has an electronic interface to reach out to chemical SMEs, micro-enterprises and sole entrepreneurs and to implement effective communication and information.
