The aim of the project is to create a facility for XAMK Oy’s wood and hybrid construction testing laboratory. The building implements experimental hybrid construction of concrete, steel, wood and wood-based construction materials, combining them according to the intrinsic properties of the materials for the best use. The aim is to make a technically efficient, economically efficient, energy-efficient, low carbon footprint operating environment for research, testing and product development, which in turn contribute significantly to the volume of wood construction in Finland and help to achieve its objectives in the fight against climate change.
