The aim of the project is to create a low-threshold service for young people in the centre of Turku, where young people can easily find the majority of services aimed at young people in the same place. The project also aims to strengthen the city’s employment management service menu. The aim of the project is to create the capacity of the municipality to respond to the challenges of the future municipal reform of labour market support and to develop the services of the most difficult young people. Turku Ohjaamo serves young customers in both Finnish languages. Turku Ohjaamo’s activities are supported by pilot projects for employment management in previous years, as well as information and counselling services for youth services, joint phase guidance from basic to secondary education, and outreach youth work. The cab in Turku is a platform for basic services, on which the new openings will be rooted. In Turku Ohjaamo there are also deepened multidisciplinary services aimed at rehabilitation for the labour market, education and employment. The deepened services will be carried out in cooperation with the City of Turku, the TE Office of Southwest Finland and the Social Insurance Institution of Finland. A key objective of the project is also to strengthen the partnership network for employment management and improve the effectiveness of services. The idea is continuous interactive service design and the involvement of local residents in the development of services. The project will pilot the operating models of young people’s services for three years. During the project, it will be examined whether it can expand into a regional area. The goal is a new type of work approach in the production of services. Turku Ohjaamo cooperates with other employment projects and educational institutions operating in Turku. An important part of the Tutorial service is the services of working life coaches/hosts who travel alongside. The service running alongside young people will be developed throughout the project period. The target group of Turun OhjaamoOhjamo is all unemployed and inactive Turku residents under the age of 30. Turun Ohjaamo is estimated to reach about 3500 young people per year, of whom about 1,200 people are in need of deepened services.Turku Tujamo’s target group is also staff working with youth services and employers in the region. The goal is that the Turku cockpit facilities are attractive and look like their customers. A survey on the need for space and accessibility of Turku Ohjamo premises was carried out in December 2014. Turku Ohjaamo operates in the same property in its own premises with the Turku Vamos activities of the Deacon Institute of Helsinki. The involvement of young people in the development of services in Turku Ohjaamo is a key part of the Turku strategy 2029. In Turku Ohjaamo, three objectives have been set for the inclusion of young people for the years 2015-2018: 1.Consultation of young people before and during the project (continuous interactive service design) 2.Social media: blogger and Some instructor. Turku’s goal is to produce Turku public rehabilitation, education and employment services in cooperation with the EEDC and educational institutions. At the same time, the services are brought close to young people.3.The project has been prepared within the city in cooperation with the Employment Service Centre, the family and social services area of the City of Turku, the education industry, youth services, the Turku Adult Education Centre and the Turku Vocational Institute (adult education). The partners have been the ELY Centre for Southwest Finland, the TE Office of Southwest Finland and Kela.
