Let’s do it together with a partnership for working life! — the project, in cooperation with immigrant organisations, the City of Vantaa, the Uusimaa TE Office and the Kiipula Vocational College, pilots a partnership model aimed at the employment and integration of long-term immigrants in the country. In addition to the actual project developers, the project involves an extensive cooperation network. A network-based and multi-professional partnership aims to create a cost-effective model that promotes migrants’ access to employment and education. The aim is also to support the development of immigrant organisations’ competence under the guidance of their clients, so that guidance to services is effective and goal-oriented. The objective is a culturally conscious, customer-oriented, accessible low-threshold service aimed at supporting the activation and improvement of the labour market position of migrants in a weak labour market position. The aim is also to clarify the roles of organisations and authorities, and to promote the growth of immigrant organisations as socially important actors. The organisation’s employees working with the project team act as agents of change in their organisations and develop their activities from within. The Tsempata together project also aims to transfer authority expertise to immigrant organisations so that they have sufficient capacity to guide and integrate clients in the future. The starting point of the project is genuine partnership between actors, building trust in immigrant societies, and building trust between different authorities.
