The aim of the Live — More Attraction project is to increase the attractiveness of technical education in south-west Finland and to promote the transition from education to education and from education to working life. The fields of education to be included in the project are construction, electricity, machinery and production technology, building engineering, chemical engineering, process industry, urban engineering, materials engineering, surface treatment, building painting, floor covering and construction sheeting. The project will increase the participation of students and teaching and guidance staff in the planning and implementation of educational marketing and develop their expertise in marketing and business cooperation. The project integrates a gender perspective into both the marketing of education and training — the aim is to inspire more girls in the fields of technology. In order to achieve the objectives, the measures will be divided into three sets of measures, namely (1) piloting and embedding marketing and attractiveness models developed in the ‘Technical Sectors’ project, as well as further developing in a broad range of fields of technology, (2) facilitating transitions between school levels and fields of education and working (3) The strong involvement of teaching and guidance staff in improving attractiveness in the field of education and training is carried out in cooperation with other stakeholders, and the effectiveness of the models developed in them will be assessed in relation to the implementation of education and training in relation to education and training. The project is very closely linked to the positive structural change and growing labour shortages in south-west Finland. For the success of the project and the achievement of its objectives, it is important that the project is implemented as a transnational joint project. The project’s stakeholders, the Finnish Federation of Technology Industries, the Chemical Industry and the Finnish Construction Industry, have also recognised the relevance of the joint project. In addition, the project is part of a package that includes, for example, the Good Pore — Support for positive structural change through education and training projects and other projects supporting the reform of vocational education and training. The City of Turku is a managing organisation in several of these projects and it has therefore been decided that these projects will be implemented as a whole. This will ensure that the same measures will not be duplicated or that a significant objective will not be achieved. The clear task of the Live — More Attraction project as a whole is to increase the attractiveness of the fields of technology. The implementation of the project as a network project enables peer learning and development among training organisations. In addition, the network supports the implementation of pilots by providing testing and sparring support and enabling the testing of ideas and development blanks with minimal effort and costs. The benefits of a network project also include the possibility to use resources wisely (sharing knowledge, knowledge and ideas; sparring, comparison and feedback; co-development). In addition, the joint project supports the dissemination and entrenchment of project results and good practices. The partnership network includes:- the City of Turku’s cultural industry- South-Western Finland joint municipal authority for education- the Raisio region’s education union- the Salo region’s education union- TAO Turku University of Applied Sciences Foundation- Turku University of Applied Sciences Oy- Länsirannikon School of Education WinNova- Satakunta University of Applied Sciences- Satakunta Educational Association Turku OyIn addition, the project’s cooperation network has been promised by the Finnish Federation of Technology Industries, the Construction Industry RT ry, and SAK.
