The aim of the project is to strengthen the working life capacity of young people and other people in a disadvantaged position on the labour market and to promote their integration into employment, training or other support measures for them. The project develops a low-threshold Young Ohjaamo and Virtaamo, who provide multi-professional support, counselling and guidance on a one-stop-shop basis. From the cab and Virtaamo, the customer can seamlessly and in a timely manner get the services he needs without an appointment. The customer’s service needs are identified and the services required are coordinated into a goal-oriented entity for the customer. Through the cockpit and Virtaamo, various specialists, such as social counsellors and mental health and substance abuse workers, are available. If necessary, the employee gathers a multiprofessional wellbeing team around the customer to assess the customer’s situation. A follow-up plan will be prepared with the client and the responsible persons will be agreed to support the customer and to implement the plan. For example, the services of a psychologist or a psychiatrist may be purchased as a purchasing service, if the customer’s situation requires further clarification before any further plans are drawn up. In order to strengthen customers’ working life capabilities and life management, various coaching and training courses, information sessions, company and educational visits, as well as small or peer-to-peer activities can be organised. The development of the activities takes into account the customer-oriented approach, and the services and activities are formed as a whole that meets the objectives and needs of the customers. The project also develops the service of a working life coach to meet the needs of the target group for support in the various stages of life. The main focus is on support for integration into working life, but a working life coach can also support studies, work experiments, rehabilitative work activities or various leisure activities. The need for a working life coach varies individually according to the customer’s situation and objectives and the support will be continued for as long as necessary. As a parallel project, wage subsidies are sought for the project in order to promote the employment of customers. The wage subsidy promotes the ability of customers to work life and lowers the threshold for entering the open labour market. The cockpit and the Virtamo are supposed to be a platform for co-operation. One of the objectives of the project is therefore to step up cooperation between different actors and entities in order to ensure that the services meet the customer’s individual needs as well as possible. The cooperation network includes, among other things, different authorities, educational institutions, third-sector actors and other actors working with the target group. In addition, close co-operation is being carried out with companies to promote labour matching and to find places for hidden work and work experiments.
