The aim of a modern farm is to get the best output from herds with minimal inputs. It can be stressful to entrust the space to an outside person and the entrepreneur may feel that he cannot leave the farm. In-service training can raise the level of competence of the interlocutors, which provides certainty for working and thus improves the services of entrepreneurs and the employment opportunities of the interlocutor. Maintaining a sufficiently skilled workforce will improve the operating conditions of agricultural enterprises. The development of the know-how of agricultural holidaymakers in line with the changes brought about by digitalisation will improve the competitiveness of agriculture and increase their employment opportunities to meet the needs of farms. The development of skills will ensure better employment opportunities, providing alternative employment opportunities for workers with reduced capacity to work. Approximately 50 training days are organised for interlocutors, divided into different areas. Trainings are planned centrally from the municipality managing the project, but the place of the training is as close as possible to the interlocutors involved. The organisation of trainings in the three local units (Liperi, Tohmajärvi and Valtimo) provides flexibility in the planning of shifts for interlocutors. The organisation of training days on the rosters of local unit replacements can sometimes be challenging, especially in times of the year when demand for interlocutors is at its highest. The training organised in the three replacement areas enables as many interlocutors as possible to be involved. For example, training can be streamed, allowing those who would not otherwise be able to attend remotely.
