The project supports improved recruitment (=employment) of international talents in Satakunta companies, in particular for key and strongest growing industries, focusing on higher-educated technology professionals in robotics, automation and the EU. The Satakunta region is part of the area of positive structural change (pore) and there has been a large shortage of talent in the above-mentioned groups of experts. According to the Finnish Satakunta Federation’s monitoring, Robocoast’s competence hub and automation & AI industry is the strongest growing industry for several years. The project is carried out in a needs-oriented and enterprise-oriented manner, as well as by carrying out concrete pilots that seek new innovative ways to solve the attractiveness, recruitment and integration of international talent, as well as developing the attractiveness and grip power of the region. Project objectives:1)The aim of the project is to increase the attractiveness of Finland’s working life among international experts2)The aim of the project is to increase the employment and recruitment of international talent in the region by reducing the threshold for companies to recruit international talent3)The aim of the project is to build, anchor the Talent Hub and build a Talent Hub network that supports the attracting and integration of international talent into work communities and the region. Four work packages will be implemented as measures for the project: Work package 1) Creating the Talent Hub ecosystem and bringing together key actors Work Package 3) Development and piloting of Softlanding & Integration services. This package supports the previous work package and offers, among other things, international mentors for professionals. 4) Strengthening Talent hub and services in the region and sharing good practices. The use of user experience is central to all the activities of the project and the services to be built. The project measures are implemented in a business-driven manner and in close cooperation with operators and companies in the region. EURES at the ELY Centre and the TE Office, including recruitment training models, will receive new feeds through the project and the project will support the development of new service combinations across organisational boundaries. Talent Hub services are part of municipalities’ vitality services and the development is carried out in close cooperation to integrate Talent Hub into permanent activities in the area. Results: 120 international experts participate in the project’s International Talent Mentoring pilots. As a result of the project, jobs are found for international talent through a recruitment support service. As the international talents already present in the region are quickly brought to work in companies in line with their training, their substance skills will develop. Working communities and companies will have access to the latest research data and this will support the renewal and competitiveness of enterprises. As a result, work communities develop and their diversity grows. As a result of the project, awareness of the region’s career opportunities will increase and the region’s attractiveness will be strengthened. The recruitment, installation, integration and coaching services developed in the project will be integrated into the Talent Hub activities in the area across organisational boundaries.
