Tyrsky sister project

In Pirkanmaa, a large-scale joint venture between vocational education and training and business associations has been launched at the heart of the development of education — Tyrsky, to which this project complements. The core of Tyrsky’s sister project is the co-operation between the above mentioned projects, the coordination of measures to achieve common objectives. With the help of ecosystem thinking, we aim for harmonised services and processes related to cooperation in working life for the Pirkanmaa secondary vocational education and training institutions. We involve the various parties involved in the development activities in such a way that all involved parties both generate added value and gain added value by participating in the project’s activities. The aim is for working life to experience VET as an added value partner and to know what services can be provided by VET institutions in the workplace. Workplaces are aware of their important role in educating future professionals and, together with VET actors, provide learners with diverse learning environments and quality guidance. The project is built in accordance with Tredu’s strategy with the aim of establishing an ever closer link with working life, strengthening cross-sectorality and developing better quality learning environments in working life. The project also promotes the themes of the VET quality strategy, the reform of continuous learning and the entrenchment of the reform of vocational education and training.
