The aim of the project is to promote technological progress and innovation by informing business and business-intensive society about the benefits of carrying out research and innovation, creating the image of Lithuania as a country of technology and innovation. The objectives of the project are: 1. Encourage companies (with more than 3 years of operation) to carry out research, innovate and apply advanced technologies; 2. Encourage start-ups (in existence for up to 3 years) to carry out research, innovate and apply advanced technologies; 3. Raise awareness of innovation in a business-intensive society, promote entrepreneurship, creativity and interest in innovation. In Lithuania, the predominant view is that the development and implementation of innovations is costly, risky and difficult to access for business. There is a lack of awareness that innovation can also be non-technological — marketing or organisational, easily adaptable to the activities of different companies. The image of Lithuania as a country of technology and innovation has not been formed. The project’s technological progress and innovation promotion activities will help to change understanding of innovation, stimulate interest in innovation, research and innovation. The success stories of innovative business will be disseminated, the benefits of innovation creation and implementation will be presented, and a favourable image of Lithuania in the field of innovation will be created. The project will organise international conferences (Life Sciences Baltics Conference of Life Sciences in 2016 and 2018, Vilnius Innovation Forum Innovation Drift in 2017 and 2019, various business events, innovation exhibitions, publications, television projects and other activities.
