After reconstruction of the section of the TEN-T road E67 (VIA BALTICA) Kaunas-Marijampolė, road A5 Kaunas-Marijampolė-Suwała from 17.34 to 23.40 km, safe traffic conditions will be ensured in accordance with the traffic flow rates, requirements for the road category AM and established international standards. The implementation of the project will improve the TEN-T road infrastructure in the territory of Lithuania and will have the following long-term effects: facilitate transit and local traffic; improving road safety conditions and reducing the number of accidents; travel time will be reduced. During reconstruction of the road E67 (A5) Kaunas-Marijampolė-Suvalkai 17.34-23.40 km, sections from 17.34 to 23.40 km (on the right side) and from 21.84 to 23.40 km (on the left side) will be reconstructed in accordance with the requirements of the technical category of AM, and one-level intersections will be reconstructed, pedestrian viaducts in Stanaičiai (18.34 km) and Juragiai (20.85 km) will be reconstructed, viaduct over the railway in Mauručiai (22.70 km) and tunnel viaduct (23.10 km), noise suppressing walls, lighting in Stanaičiai and Juragiai settlements, connecting roads, pedestrian and cyclist trails, and engineering networks are reconstructed.
