The project "Advantage. It’s high. Get to know. Kurk (IPPC2) will aim to develop forms and content of non-formal children’s education activities and to increase the accessibility of non-formal education for children from 7-18 years old (7-21 year olds) to schoolchildren across Lithuania. Special attention will be paid to the employment of pupils on holidays. In order to promote children’s educational activities during the summer and other holidays of the pupils, it is planned to implement 5-10-day educational programmes in camps (hereinafter ‘the programmes’). It is planned that 28579 children will participate in educational programmes. Around 90 % of children will be paid up to 30 % of the cost of participating in the programme, while at least 5 % of children from socially supported families will be paid 95 % of the cost of participating in the programme. Attention will also be paid to other groups supported by the State, i.e. children with disabilities, large families and immigrants (around 5 %), who will also receive 95 % of the cost of participating in the programme. Lithuanian children living abroad and children from schools of national minorities in Lithuania will also be invited to participate in the programmes. In order to develop forms of non-formal education activities for children, 200 staff (teachers) of institutions providing non-formal child education services will be organised, 40 participants will be given a study visit to take over good practices in one of the EU countries, and an international event — a conference of good practice in non-formal child education for 100 participants. The project website www.tapk.lt will be used to ensure the sharing and dissemination of good practices and the availability of information, which will include the results of the previous project and will be constantly updated with relevant information not only for project participants but also for the public. Equal conditions for organising educational programmes will be granted to non-formal education providers operating in all municipalities of Lithuania, regardless of their place of registration and legal status.
