Reconstruction of national land and district roads. Phase II

Project "Reconstruction of the region and district roads of national significance. Phase II" includes the refurbishment of the following road sections: • reconstruction of the national road No 141 Kaunas-Jurbarkas-Šlutė-Klaipėda section from 18.00 to 22.70 km. Works will take place in Kaunas district municipality; • reconstruction of the national road No 164 Mažeikiai-Plungė-Tauragė stretch from 48.00 km to 58.18 km. Works will take place in Telšiai County in Plungė district municipality; • reconstruction of the national road No 145 Kėdainiai-Šėta-Ukmergė section from 41.950 km to 45.177 km. Works will take place in Vilnius county in Ukmergė district municipality; • reconstruction of the national road No 144 Jonava-Kėdainiai-Šeduva section from 76.400 km to 90.058 km. Works will take place in Šiauliai county in Radviliškis district municipality. The project would ensure safe traffic conditions in line with traffic flow rates, road category requirements and established international standards. The implementation of the project will improve the infrastructure of the national road network in the territory of Lithuania and will have the following long-term effects: the conditions for transit and local traffic will be facilitated, the number of accidents will be reduced, car time will be reduced, road safety conditions will be improved and the costs of road maintenance and repair will be reduced. The implementation of the project will contribute to the creation of an attractive and safe environment and will have a positive impact on Lithuania’s economic development.
