Family members (those who have lost their jobs, faced with economic, social exclusion, psychological problems of perception of family values) begin to use violence, abuse alcohol, do not look after children, thus creating an inappropriate attitude towards family values, relationships and communication within families. The planned project is aimed at all families of the target group in crisis (not only families recorded in social risk families, but also other families — e.g. families with disabilities, victims of abuse, large families, refugee families). The project provides for cross-compliance activities: psychological and social assistance for families in crisis, positive parenting training, social skills development and socio-cultural services, mediation services, legal assistance (legal education, labour law, counselling for families other than those involved in the divorce process but participating in the project), childcare services, information to potential and existing target groups, counselling, assistance to families of members with special needs (disabled). Both municipalities and non-governmental district organisations will be involved in the provision of comprehensive services. In this way, Jonava district will create an effective system of not only family crisis intervention, but also prevention, providing comprehensive support services for all members of families in crisis, operating in both the public and non-governmental sectors. The project foresees that 1076 people will receive comprehensive support services. The project measures aim to combine the potential of budgetary and non-governmental organisations for the well-being of the family by creating an efficient infrastructure for the provision of complex services to the family in Jonava district, therefore, both municipalities and non-governmental district organisations will be involved in the provision of complex services: The social services centre of Jonava district will perform the functions of the family home of the Community.
