Development of the Lithuanian Qualifications Framework (Phase I)

The aim of the project is to form the modern content of vocational education and adult education on the basis of the Lithuanian Qualifications Framework. During the implementation of the project, the development of the Lithuanian Qualifications System will continue. The main results of the project are: tools for the development and improvement of the Lithuanian qualification system have been developed and implemented, professional standards and modular vocational training programmes have been developed, interactive electronic learning tools have been implemented in vocational training and non-formal adult education programmes, a working environment for the management of qualifications and modular vocational training programmes in electronic space has been developed and implemented, training performed according to the developed and/or updated modular vocational training programmes. The results of the development of the qualification system achieved during the project will create preconditions for faster economic and social development of the country, promote lifelong learning, increase the relevance and attractiveness of vocational education and adult education to the needs of the labour market. At European level, the activities of the project will contribute to the implementation of the European vocational training targets for the period 2015-2020 set out in the Riga conclusions (22 June 2015, Declaration by the Ministers of Education of European countries, the European Commission and European social partner organisations), the recommendations of the European Parliament and the Council of the European Union on the establishment of the European Qualifications Framework for lifelong learning (EQF) (23 April 2008); 2008/C 111/0l/EC), Recommendations of the European Parliament and of the Council of the European Union on the establishment of the European Credit System for Vocational Education and Training (ECVET) (18.6.2009; 2009/C155/02) The target group of the project is students, teachers, experts, professionals in vocational training.
