The aim of the project “Creating a safe environment at school II” is to create and maintain a safe environment in school, creating favourable conditions for students’ personal development, improving academic achievements, reducing social exclusion and solving the problem of falling out of school. This objective has been chosen to be achieved through targeted prevention programmes in schools. The implementation of preventive programmes enables a coherent, systematic and effective response to school problems and prevents the emergence of problems while ensuring a safe and healthy environment for students. The project envisages implementing only effective preventive programmes, i.e. those preventive programmes that have already been evaluated and their effectiveness confirmed, programmes in various fields (violence and bullying, use of psychoactive substances, prevention of sexual abuse, development of social skills, development of positive paternity skills) and for pupils of all ages. It is also planned to expand the offer of programmes by developing methodological material for the suicide prevention programme and testing the programme at school. The aim is to cover the widest possible range of pupils and to provide schools with preventive programmes to address current challenges. During the project, preventive programmes in schools will be implemented and their implementation supported, therefore the project activities provide not only training for newly engaged school community members, but also training and counselling for educators implementing the programmes for several years. During the project’s implementation, it is planned to involve about 800 schools in the project activities, while other schools already implementing the programmes should be encouraged to include as many students and teachers as possible in these activities, to prepare methodological materials for the suicide prevention programme, and to test the suicide prevention programme. The development of psychological support for the pupil, teacher and pupil’s parents provides psychological support in 822 schools.
