New, modern street cleaning equipment will be purchased during the project. It is planned to purchase 8 street cleaning machines — 3 sidewalks, pedestrians and bicycle paths, 1 narrow streets in the old town, and 4 roads and streets. A public awareness campaign on improving ambient air quality will be carried out, highlighting opportunities for citizens to contribute to reducing ambient air pollution, improving ambient air quality and possible consequences of irresponsible behaviour. The objectives of informing the public are: 1. I am ruined to inform the population about the impact of the private use of vehicles on ambient air quality and the potential of the population to contribute to the reduction of ambient air pollution from vehicles. 2. To better inform the population about the impact of the choice of fuel and new heating equipment for the production of heat in households on ambient air quality and the potential of the population to contribute to the reduction of ambient air pollution from household heating installations. The campaign will broadcast storyboards, interviews with specialists about air pollution and the opportunity to contribute to reducing it, distribute leaflets, posters, run competitions, publish information messages in the press, send letters, organise games (lectures), and at the beginning and end of the campaign, a population survey will be carried out to assess the change in the level of public awareness. Residents of Klaipėda city of different age groups, both genders, will participate in public information activities. A plan of measures for the management of ambient air quality will be developed and reasonable measures will be proposed to improve ambient air quality. The activities of the project will contribute to the achievement of the main objective of reducing ambient air pollution by particulate matter in order to ensure that their concentration in ambient air does not exceed levels of ambient air pollution that are not harmful to human health and the environment.
