Refurbishment of infrastructure of children’s hospitals, Vilnius University Hospital Santaros Clinics branch

The lack of infrastructure necessary for the provision of healthcare services to children by a children’s hospital, a public institution of the Vilnius University Hospital Santaros Clinics Branch (hereinafter referred to as the Children’s Hospital) or the inadequate functioning of existing infrastructure, complicates rapid and accurate diagnosis, proper treatment and prevention of diseases in children. The range of services and patient flows in the Children’s Hospital is constantly growing. The acquisition of modern medical equipment and medical furniture during the project will improve the quality and availability of child disease prevention, diagnosis and treatment services. The main divisions of the Children’s Hospital, where the refurbishment of infrastructure is planned, with the purchase of medical and other equipment, furniture, are: • Reception-Emergency Unit, Subpart I, • Children’s Consulting Unit, • Paediatric Centre, • Inpatient Child Medical Rehabilitation Unit • Radiology Department • Child Neurology Department. Lithuanian children under the age of 18, their parents or carers, as well as the staff of the Children’s Hospital will benefit from the project.
