During the project, municipal waste infrastructure will be developed — 85 underground, 1050 semi-underground and 115 ground container sites have been installed (all of 1.250 municipal waste container sites are installed and 5070 containers are purchased for them). The project is focused on about 480 000 inhabitants of Vilnius City Municipality (number based on the number of municipal waste container sites to be installed and the total volume of municipal waste containers). A unified municipal waste infrastructure is being developed to meet the needs of waste holders.
