The project aims to contribute to the development of the Social Housing Fund of Panevėžys City Municipality. During the implementation of the project, the unused building — the dormitory located in Aldonos str. 12, Panevėžys, will be overhauled, where 71 social housing will be installed. The installed social housing will be equipped with stoves (with ovens). After the implementation of the project, the Social Housing Fund will be increased by 18.78 % in Panevėžys City Municipality. In a refurbished building, social housing will be rented to 71 families waiting for the longest social housing rental. The project is expected to increase housing opportunities for families and people entitled to social housing, improve the quality of life of these persons, integration into the labour market, possible savings in the budget of the Republic of Lithuania for heating compensation, as well as a possible reduction in emigration of young and active people.
