The overall objective of the project is to create an advanced road data e-service for road data providers and economic operators using road data, using a centralised Lithuanian local and national road data source, where road data would be processed from the beginning to the end of the life cycle of road assets, enabling the development and provision of higher quality and more convenient e-services in the transport sector at the Lithuanian and European level. The project is organised by the Lithuanian Road Administration under the Ministry of Transport and Communications, which aims to implement state policy on road maintenance and development of national significance, state policy on road safety of national significance, organise and coordinate the restoration, maintenance and development of roads of national importance. The project’s objectives and deliverables are to develop an advanced multi-data e-service for stakeholders in the use of multiple data and to develop a multi-asset management IS that collects data from the beginning of the asset lifecycle and realises and expands asset management and analysis functionality. The processes optimised during the project will have a positive impact on LAKD and municipal resources. The management of several assets will be easier and easier to manage, which will lead to reduced working hours for re-aggregating data and similar mechanical, recurring activities. In addition, integration of the management of several projects and the connection of municipal projects to LAKD road asset management IS will no longer require reconciling organizational details and focusing on direct activities. Also, road asset management IS, allowing more efficient asset management, will contribute to improving the quality of road maintenance. In this way, the project will positively contribute to improving the material resources of LAKD and municipalities.
