Project "Reconstruction of the region and district roads of national significance. Phase III" includes the refurbishment of the following road sections: • reconstruction of the national road No 122 Daugavpils-Rokiškis-Panevėžys section from 64.00 to 71.85 km. The works will take place in Panevėžys County, Kupiðkis District Municipality; • reconstruction of the national road No 137 Pilviškiai-Šakiai-Jurbarkas section from 40,95 to 52.10 km. The works will take place in the district of Marijampolė, Šakiai district municipality; • reconstruction of the national road No 160 Telšiai-Varniai-Laukuva section from 33.74 to 40.65 km. The works will take place in Telšiai County, Telšiai District Municipality. The project would ensure safe traffic conditions in line with traffic flow rates, road category requirements and established international standards. The implementation of the project will improve the infrastructure of the national road network in the territory of Lithuania and will have the following long-term effects: the conditions for transit and local traffic will be facilitated, the number of accidents will be reduced, car time will be reduced, road safety conditions will be improved and the costs of road maintenance and repair will be reduced. The implementation of the project will contribute to the creation of an attractive and safe environment and will have a positive impact on Lithuania’s economic development.
