During the implementation of the project, it is planned to reconstruct the section of Tilžės str., from the existing roundabout to the level crossing of the railway, and to reorganise the circular junction of Tilžės str., Mokyklos str. and Šilutė pl. to the traffic light. After completion of the street reconstruction works and the transformation of the circular junction to the traffic light, the street infrastructure will be improved — high-quality coating, bicycle and pedestrian paths, lighting, reconstructed engineering networks, and traffic safety measures have been installed. The reconstruction works will increase the attractiveness of the city, regional mobility, reduce the time spent during the journey of vehicles, increase the safety of urban residents, reduce negative impacts on the environment and human health, and hope to improve social, economic living conditions, business conditions and job accessibility in the target area.
