Upskilling of educators and educators

One of the objectives of the State Education Strategy 2013-2022 is to achieve a level of pedagogical communities where the majority of them are thoughtful, constantly improving and effective working professional teachers and lecturers. To achieve this goal, it is planned to strengthen motivation by providing opportunities for teachers and trainers to continuously improve their professional qualifications by broadening cultural horizons, <...> by discovering a more diverse range of pedagogical functions; stimulate the continuous transfer and sharing of positive experiences between teachers and teachers in formal and non-formal education, promote the mobility of teachers and trainers in the country and internationally, and other forms of exchange of educational ideas. However, the competences of teachers, education aid specialists in personalisation, acceptance of student diversity, cooperation for effective education for all pupils are insufficient and their qualifications should therefore be improved. The project “Improving the qualification of educators and education aid specialists” aims to enable specialists of educational departments of municipal administrations, educational and educational support institutions to become acquainted with the widest possible range of forms, methods, tools, education and support for children with special educational needs and their families, as well as prevention in educational institutions. It is planned to prepare specialists in the fields of trafficking in human beings and the prevention of bullying and violence in all municipalities of Lithuania, to train educational aid specialists and teachers to use the educational methodology for working with children with autism syndrome and educational methodology for assessing the abilities and skills of early and preschool children with autism spectrum disorders; organise training on the prevention and management of aggression, continuous training of education aid specialists; improve the effectiveness of the implementation of the minimum and medium-care system for the child.
