The project, like the whole measure “Development of Education Evaluation and Monitoring Systems”, is focused on improving pupils’ educational achievements through innovation and change in the education system. The project aims to modernise the assessment of students‘achievements by improving the assessment criteria, implementing modern technologies, improving the competences of teachers and managers, thus creating conditions for the development and implementation of a cumulative assessment system and the development of individual progress monitoring of students’ achievements. The main objectives of the project are to achieve a breakthrough in the transition to an electronic assessment and data analysis system (e-assessment) and the development of evaluation agreements and criteria for evaluation of pupils’ achievements at national level, covering all stages of general education (primary, basic and secondary education). Important attention will be paid to ensuring coherence between formative and recapitulative assessment and developing the use of recapitulative assessment for formative assessment purposes.
