The aim of the project is to improve the conditions of practical training and access to training services for young people and adults, to develop a seamless transport sector practical training centre (SPMC) providing services for passenger cars, freight transport, agricultural machinery, maintenance and repair of non-carbohydrated vehicles, and the implementation of training programmes for drivers of all categories. The objective of the project is to develop the transport SPMC infrastructure through investments in buildings, equipment and furniture in order to ensure the appropriate quality and capacity of transport SPMC services. The project’s target groups are the students and teachers of the Vilnius Automechanics and Business School (hereinafter — VaVM), students, unemployed, labour market and business representatives. Students and teachers from vocational training institutions offering similar programmes will also be enrolled in VAVM. Once implemented, the project will focus primarily on initial vocational training, but the results will also be used by other target groups. The project investments are aimed at the reconstruction and repair of existing buildings, the acquisition of technological equipment and furniture. Thanks to the project, a seamless transport sector practical training centre will be created after reconstruction and repair and installation of technological equipment and furniture. In this way, the project will successfully complement and extend the activities of the SPMC for the maintenance and repair of existing motor vehicles.
