Improving the framework for the assessment and recognition of competences and qualifications acquired in different ways

The aim of the project is to improve the system of assessment and recognition of competences and qualifications acquired by a person in various ways. The main results of the project are: tools have been developed for the assessment of competences of persons seeking to acquire a chosen qualification or self-assessment of existing competences, to create banks of tasks used for competence assessment, methodologies for assessing competences, methodological tools with exemplary competence assessment tasks, strengthened institutional capacity to assess competences acquired by a person in different ways and/or qualifications, tools for monitoring and information for the assessment and recognition of competences acquired by a person. The results achieved during the project will make it easier for individuals to assess existing and/or acquire the desired competences/qualifications, increase their employability, strengthen their motivation to learn and develop, and promote participation in learning and employment processes in groups such as migrants, unemployed, elderly or low-skilled people; establish an independent and quality-oriented system for the assessment and recognition of competences acquired by an individual in a variety of ways; contribute to the implementation of national policies and EU strategic provisions. Project Focus Group: employees of accredited competence assessment institutions, persons whose competences acquired in Lithuania or abroad have been evaluated according to updated or developed assessment systems, teachers, experts in the field of vocational training, competence and qualification assessment, and administrative staff of educational institutions.
