The aim of the project “Deployment of Process Management System, Performance Indicator Monitoring System and LEAN Government methods in state institutions” is to develop and implement an operational management system (indicators, processes, LEAN methods) that allows to organise the activities of public sector institutions more efficiently, to continuously improve the quality of their functions, to meet the needs of society and other stakeholders more effectively. The project will develop performance indicator monitoring and process management systems, 5 LEAN methods — daily activity management, continuous organisation improvement method “Kaizen”, “Plan, do, check, run (PDTV)” method, value flow mapping method and 5S method (according to the first 5 letters of these words: sorting, sorting, systematic handling, standardisation, self-monitoring). The project involves 11 institutions: The Office of the Government of the Republic of Lithuania, the Ministry of the Environment, the Ministry of Energy, the Ministry of Agriculture, the Ministry of Health, the Ministry of Social Security and Labour, the Centre for Strategic Analysis of the Government of the Public Institution, (part of full participation), the Ministry of the Interior (process standardisation, establishment of the indicator monitoring system, KAIZEN, KAIZEN, PDTV part of the VHL), the Ministry of Economy and Innovation (KAIZEN, PDTV, part of the VCJ), the State Medicines Control Authority (process standardisation, KAIZEN, PDTV, PDTV part) and the government representative body (part of the process standardisation, the establishment of the indicator monitoring system, KVV, KAIZEN, PDTV, VGV).
