In Lithuania, there is currently insufficient funding to improve the qualifications of doctors. This problem will be addressed during the project’s implementation. The aim of the project is to ensure the quality and supply of formal and non-formal education services provided by Vilnius University to doctors by improving the competences and qualifications of doctors. VU together with partner Vilnius University Hospital Santaros Clinic, having implemented the project, will train doctors providing health services according to training programmes, which will be prepared on the basis of the most innovative and most advanced global practice. During the implementation of the project, the training will be carried out in four districts of Lithuania Alytus, Panevėžys, Utena and Vilnius. Scientific practical conferences, internships and seminars will be attended by doctors from healthcare institutions in these counties. VU together with partner VUL Santaros Clinic will train about 3975 doctors providing medical services and 150 resident doctors after implementing the project.
