In order to improve the availability and quality of services for the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of cerebrovascular diseases (especially acute stroke) for the population of the target areas (Vilnius, Utena and Alytus counties (except the municipalities of Alytus and Lazdijai) the project “Renewal of infrastructure for prevention, diagnosis, treatment and rehabilitation of cerebrovascular diseases in VUL Santaros Clinics” is initiated. During the project, it is planned to purchase equipment necessary for the provision of stroke treatment services: for the reduction of injury events in patients with stroke of ultrasound systems, vital monitoring and restoration, and inpatient rehabilitation equipment: physiotherapy, functional condition and rehabilitation effectiveness assessment, logotherapy, communication, restoration and training of cognitive and mental functions, physical factor equipment and patient care and complication prevention measures. The benefits of the project are expected to reach at least 3500 sick people in the region.
