Infrastructure for the provision of medical rehabilitation services to children will be created in order to ensure coordinated action and standardised quality diagnosis, treatment and rehabilitation that meets the requirements of modern scientific evidence-based medicine and provides an opportunity to improve the quality of the services provided to children. The branch of Kaunas Clinics of the Lithuanian University of Health Sciences (hereinafter — Kaunas Clinic) The Children’s Rehabilitation Hospital will be transferred from old, worn-out premises to a newly built building in Kaunas Clinics. The transfer of the activities of the children’s rehabilitation hospital to the territory of Kaunas Clinics and the modernisation of part of the premises of Kaunas Clinics will allow to ensure sanitary-epidemiological and hygienic regime, compliance of the provided services with EU standards, the possibility to provide complex and quality medical rehabilitation services for children with chronic diseases, disability, developmental and/or functional impairments, and the availability of these services will significantly improve.
