Management of Gediminas Hill in the State Cultural Reserve of Vilnius Castles

The aim of the project is to ensure safe access to the public and visitors of the LNM exhibition divisions of all Vilnius Castles State Reserve cultural goods. The project will stabilise the hillside of Vilnius castle area called Gediminas Hill, Castle Hill, Aukštutine and Žemutine Castle (KVR u.o.k. 141), Arsenalo str.5, Vilnius north-western slope and eliminate the consequences of landslides. A project for the management of the north-western slope of the Gediminas Hill (KVR u.k.k.141) will be prepared and implemented, and systems for monitoring and watering the stability of the hillfort and structures will be installed. After the implementation of the project, one object of cultural heritage will be cleaned, equipped and adapted to visit (Vilnius castle site, called Gediminas Hill, Castle Hill, Aukštutine and Lower Castle is a cultural monument No.141). The implementation of the project is expected to result in 12.828 new visits per year.
