The project aims to develop the infrastructure of public spaces of the city of Garliava and the quality of the living environment, promoting social and economic development and creating conditions for increasing the employment of the population. During the implementation of the project, the following works are envisaged: • Arrangement and adaptation of active recreation and leisure grounds (Jonučiai Square — adr. Vasario 16-osios str. 8 and A. Mitkus Square — adr. Vytauto str. 4) for the community of Garliava; • Reconstruction of part of Vytautas street; • Installation of active recreation grounds in residential quarters (S. Lozoraičio g., Liepų g., Žaliosios g.); • Reconstruction of part of S. Lozoraitis street; • Reconstruction of the market square at Lozoraičio str. 1D, Garliava; • Parking lots, Vytauto str. 61, Garliava, pavement, pedestrian paths, plantations and small architecture. After the implementation of the project, differences in the quality of the living environment will be reduced by promoting social and economic development in Garliava and Kaunas district. Renovated newly equipped public community infrastructure will not only meet the community needs of the population, but will also contribute to improving the representative image of the city, attractive conditions for investment, improving the safety and comfort of residents. The project is expected to accelerate the development of the trade and services sector in Garliava due to guaranteed high-quality access and parking, and active leisure services due to the development of dedicated infrastructure. The renewed community infrastructure will be accessible to all residents and guests of Garliava. In this way, the project will contribute to improving socio-economic conditions and the quality of the living environment in Garliava.
