The project will reconstruct the part of the former football school and pool building in emergency condition (address Paris Komunos str. 16A) and its territory, i.e. the part of the pool building will be redesigned for a new function, providing facilities adapted to the needs of the community (interactive learning, creative workshops, health promotion, seminars and training, etc.), creating a multifunctional strategic partnership space. Works include demolition, reconstruction of foundations, installation of ground parts, partitions, interior decoration, installation of engineering systems (water supply and sewage disposal, heating, ventilation, electrical engineering, lightning protection, electronic communications, security alarms, fire alarms, process control and automation), as well as the remediation of the area near the building (construction of parking areas, entrances, lighting, footpaths and bicycle paths at the street of Paris Komunos 16A). The created space is expected to contribute to the development of community, employment, activation of the labour market, the promotion of entrepreneurial skills and competences of young people, the integration of the disabled community and the promotion of tolerance to persons with disabilities through various joint activities with communities. Modern information and creative technologies will promote community-based initiatives and increase employment and participation. A community-friendly space will provide services geared to community health promotion and leisure employment. It is expected that the implementation of the project will create better conditions for the employment of residents and guests of the city, leisure time, increase the attractiveness of the territory, which will result in higher flows in commercial objects and improved quality of life in this part of Klaipėda city.
