In order to ensure the reliability of electricity supply, the stability of the work of the EES, the integration of diversified energy sources both in Lithuania and the Baltic region, and to integrate the Baltic States into the common European EES, it is necessary to have forces and a modernised electricity sector. This requires updating and extending the EES transmission network. The project "Modernisation (reconstruction) of the 110 kV OL section of the Neris-Molėtai-Utena section will contribute to ensuring reliable and stable operation of the transmission network, uninterrupted electricity supply, consistent reconstruction and modernisation of the internal electricity transmission network.
