The problem of the southern target area of Vilnius city is the lack of concentration of the population, leading to the lack of conditions for the creation and development of small and medium-sized businesses. One of the reasons is: The public infrastructure in Paplauja is inadequate and is in an unsatisfactory state. The central street of Paplauja district is not adapted to the needs of people with disabilities, there are no cycle paths, no recreational areas, no benches, no trash boxes. The condition and appearance of street lamps are poor. Recreational and visual possibilities are not exhausted at the intersection of Manufactur Street and Druja Street in Paplauja district. The implemented project will contribute to the growth of population flow in the area, encouraging business/job creation, development and attraction of new investments. During the implementation of the project, when renovating public space, Manufactur Street and the area near it will be reconstructed, reconstructing the street covering, installing pedestrian and bicycle paths, and rainwater sewage networks. It is planned to install small architectural elements, lighting, children’s playground, tree management and installation of new plantations, to adapt the public area to people with disabilities, to install a playground for events and recreation with recreational equipment, and to install traffic light regulation. During the reconstruction of the central street of Paplauja district, a new architectural character of Paplauja district central street will be formed and a modern and ergonomic environment will be created. This will contribute to the development of business, the satisfaction of the population with the living environment, and the increase in employment in this area.
